Side Effects of Estratest
Estratest is one of those medicines before taking which one
should exercise extreme care in reference to one’s body
response to it. Estratest is meant for alleviating menopause
related symptoms in women like flushing, vaginal irritation,
hot flashes and sweating. It does not, however, relieve
depression associated with menopause; especially when no
bodily symptoms are present. Estratest has many side effects
and must be taken with great caution.
Adverse effects of Estratest
It is not possible to predict beforehand what kind of
side affects a user of Estratest might encounter. What
comes is nearly a matter of chance. Commonly reported side
effects include acne, abdominal cramps, allergic reactions,
deepening of voice, nausea, changes in desire for sex,
anxiety, breast discharge, bloating, swelling of fingers or
ankles, changes in vision, clotting disorders, brown patches
on face, hair loss from head, dizziness, vomiting, weight
changes, yellowing of eyes and skin, headache, hair growth
on face, liver disorders, difficulty wearing contact lenses,
breast tenderness, skin eruptions, twitching, tingling, gall
bladder disorders, high blood sugar, and possibly others,
varying from person to person.
The Danger Alarm
In case of experiencing the following symptoms, it is
advisable to call a doctor immediately: calf/leg pain or
swelling; trouble breathing or shortness of breath; chest
pain; one-sided weakness; slurred speech; lumps in the
breast; sudden severe headache, dizziness, or fainting;
yellowing of the skin or eyes; dark urine; or abdominal
pain, swelling, or tenderness; vomiting; or coughing up
blood. Further, if taking another medication at the same
time as using Estratest, consult your doctor or pharmacist,
as interaction of the two drugs can result in possible
adverse effects.
